The Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the Fostering Productive Innovation Project, announces a call for proposals for the grant program "Productive Sector Consortia: Industry-Science Technology Consortium".
A key objective of the grant program is commercialization of innovation solutions, R&D and/or technologies of consortia.
Requirements for applicants:
The applicants must create a consortium between several members. The mandatory requirement for the consortium is participation of minimum two (2) unaffiliated production enterprises and minimum one (1) scientific organization.
Grant amount:
The maximum grant is up to 650 million KZT (for Type A Grant), and up to 250 million KZT (for Type B Grant), with an implementation period of up to 18 months.
Co-financing amount should be at least 50 percent of the grant amount (for Type A Grant), and at least 30 percent of the grant amount (for Type B Grant).
Selection process:
After the application process is completed, selection will proceed in several stages by international experts, and experts on industrial and innovative development of Kazakhstan.
Expected results:
Upon completion of the grant program, the consortia that have received funding must provide commercialization for at least 20% of the grant received, implementation and development of an automation/digitalization strategy for the sub-project (i.e. virtual reality, BIM-technology, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence), staff capacity building (training on Industry 4.0 principles).
Application deadline:
Applications are accepted starting from January 16, 2023 and ending on March 10, 2023, 18.00 Astana time*.

IMPORTANT:
Applications are submitted through the Astanahub electronic portal in English, Kazakh and/or Russian at the following link: https://astanahub.com/ru/l/gup-grant-programs.
It is mandatory to fill out the application in English, because the projects are evaluated by international experts in English.
Applicants should carefully read and comply with all the requirements of the Grant Program Manual.
All requirements must be strictly adhered to. Applications that do not comply with the rules for participation will be rejected and will not be accepted for consideration.
Before completing the application, please carefully read the environmental requirements for the subprojects and the list of activities ineligible for funding under the Project.

The presentations session under the PSC 1 grant program will take place on November 3, 2022 (Thursday) at 10.00 Astana time.
For applicants participating in the online hearing, a ZOOM link will be sent to the applicant's email address.
For the rest of the applicants, presentation session will be held at the PMU office at the following address: Mangilik El, Block C 3,5 (EXPO Building), office 310, 3rd floor. Please send the details of the participants for admission to the building to the email address indicated below (full name and IIN).
Presentations should be delivered by the following procedure:
- presentation is delivered in ENGLISH;
- applicant is given 10 minutes to present project, 10 minutes for questions and answers;
- no more than 4 people, including an interpreter, are allowed to attend. The participation of the Team Leader and key team members is MANDATORY;
- the applicant must prepare presentation materials for ISCB members in 2 languages, English and Kazakh or Russian. Presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint without animation and other effects, in .ppt or .pptx format;

The Ministry of Digital Development and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of Fostering Productive Innovation Project, is launching a call for proposals for the Productive Sector Consortia I: Competence Centers Grant Program.
The Grant Program aims to create centers of competence to address systemic industry problems by developing new technologies (R&D), modeling and improving production processes on a laboratory scale ("model factory"), and analyzing and proposing recommendations on industry development.
Requirements for participants:
The applicants must create a consortium between several members. The mandatory requirement for the consortium is participation of one scientific organization and at least two production enterprises.
Grant amount:
The maximum grant amount is up to 650 million tenge, implementation period up to 18 months. Co-financing must be at least 10 percent of the grant amount.
Selection process:
After the application process is completed, selection will proceed in several stages by international experts, and experts on industrial and innovative development of Kazakhstan.
Expected results:
After completing the grant program, consortia that have received funding must provide increased membership in the consortium, a comprehensive analysis of industry development, commercialization of R&D, apply for an international patent, and conduct training for industry specialists among production companies.

Application process starts on August 19, 2022 and ends on September 20, 2022 at 6 p.m. Nur-Sultan time*.
